I wish to submit photographs and write about Dinga – my great grand father, Rai Bahadur Sundar Das Chopra is from Dinga and my father remembers the Mahal or Kothi that Yasir has photographed. I was bought up on lovely stories of Dinga, it’s first electric generator and railway station. For whatever it’s worth, maybe some Dinga City members or trustees will value the input. Do let me know how.

I was born at Dinga in 1922. I am now 88 plus.
You belong to a great family. Rai Bahadur Sundar Das was a great man. I have seen the school named after him, as a young boy. we, later left for Lahore. I did however visit Dinga off and on.
My grand father’s name was Dr Kaka Ram Chadha. He was a first World War vetran. His son- my mama’s name was Sh. Sardari Lal chadha. My mama and Maami were murdered during partition. They were living in Chadha group of the city. There were Sibals and Raizadas also living in that area. Mir Bibi, a muslim was our neighbour.
Please let me know, if anyone in the family knows more about Dinga!

I would be very grateful if you could share with me any kind of information on RB Sunder Das Chopra and his family. In particular, anything on how and where did he die and where did his wives lived would be appreciated. I am blessed to be the daughter of the illustrious RB himself in this life. Yes, RB was reborn as my father. I am doing a book on him in his 90th year and any input I could get in my research would be welcome. I am planning to visit the place myself later to get info.

This is too good to be true. I was doing search for my father who is going to be 90 next year. We want to take him to visit his birthplace of 2 births – the current one and the previous one, in which he was Rai Bahadur Sunder Das.
Yes, my father was Sunder Das. We have paper cuttings from that time and he still talks about it. I came across this site and could not believe this. My father would love to hear from you. He would love to see photographs of his past life. Waiting to hear from you so that we can share more.

I was born at Dinga in Nov- 1922, at my grand father’s place. Some of my details are given in my letter to Viraj . Kindly go through it.
I was braught up in Lahore. I was commissioned in the Army on 3 Oct 1943. I was a young boy then. We were living at 10 Nisbet Road, Lahore–Sir Ganga Ram Building.
After partition, we shifted to Delhi.
My Daadkay were at Bhau Ghasit Pur. We used to go — Dinga–Jani Chak-Mallu and Bhau. If there are any friends on your blog from there, I shall love to write to them.
I am not sure if yours is an entirely Muslim Blog. If it is, I beg to apologize and would request you to please cancel my mail.
