    I wish to submit photographs and write about Dinga – my great grand father, Rai Bahadur Sundar Das Chopra is from Dinga and my father remembers the Mahal or Kothi that Yasir has photographed. I was bought up on lovely stories of Dinga, it’s first electric generator and railway station. For whatever it’s worth, maybe some Dinga City members or trustees will value the input. Do let me know how.

      I felt so nice to have read your comment.
      I was born at Dinga in 1922. I am now 88 plus.
      You belong to a great family. Rai Bahadur Sundar Das was a great man. I have seen the school named after him, as a young boy. we, later left for Lahore. I did however visit Dinga off and on.
      My grand father’s name was Dr Kaka Ram Chadha. He was a first World War vetran. His son- my mama’s name was Sh. Sardari Lal chadha. My mama and Maami were murdered during partition. They were living in Chadha group of the city. There were Sibals and Raizadas also living in that area. Mir Bibi, a muslim was our neighbour.
      Please let me know, if anyone in the family knows more about Dinga!

        I would be very grateful if you could share with me any kind of information on RB Sunder Das Chopra and his family. In particular, anything on how and where did he die and where did his wives lived would be appreciated. I am blessed to be the daughter of the illustrious RB himself in this life. Yes, RB was reborn as my father. I am doing a book on him in his 90th year and any input I could get in my research would be welcome. I am planning to visit the place myself later to get info.

    • This is too good to be true. I was doing search for my father who is going to be 90 next year. We want to take him to visit his birthplace of 2 births – the current one and the previous one, in which he was Rai Bahadur Sunder Das.
      Yes, my father was Sunder Das. We have paper cuttings from that time and he still talks about it. I came across this site and could not believe this. My father would love to hear from you. He would love to see photographs of his past life. Waiting to hear from you so that we can share more.

      Its extremely interesting to discover my roots while browsing this thread.Just to introduce myself,my great grandfather was Shri Jals Raj Chopra,younger brother of Sundardasji.Our family migrated to Delhi and then Lucknow post partition.I ‘ve heard numerous stories from my grandmother regarding Dingi while growing up.Being the 4th generation of JalsRaj Chopra,I guess i dont really have loads of references,but as I said ,your thread surely brings a sense of connectivity and pride

And he was just telling me about the stories and a name appeared – Rai Bahadur Sundar Das Chopra who is supposed to be my grandfather’s dad’s brother! So in any case you can tell me more about our family’s history I would really respect it!

      I must appreciate your initiative. It is too good. May god bless you. I have been looking for a person like you. Thank God I have found you.
      I was born at Dinga in Nov- 1922, at my grand father’s place. Some of my details are given in my letter to Viraj . Kindly go through it.
      I was braught up in Lahore. I was commissioned in the Army on 3 Oct 1943. I was a young boy then. We were living at 10 Nisbet Road, Lahore–Sir Ganga Ram Building.
      After partition, we shifted to Delhi.
      My Daadkay were at Bhau Ghasit Pur. We used to go — Dinga–Jani Chak-Mallu and Bhau. If there are any friends on your blog from there, I shall love to write to them.
      I am not sure if yours is an entirely Muslim Blog. If it is, I beg to apologize and would request you to please cancel my mail.

        My father Ram Nath Sibal was born in Dinga where his 8 generations lived . I have made a Facebook group called
        Sibal the community where I have posted a history of Sibals from year 1410 with the help of some people from Dinga.

    Dinga is kinde of Dubai for all those people, trading center for all those villagers .

  30. Dinga is historical city of the punjab. Its economical position become stronger day by day. All the ding’s people are Zinda dil. I miss so much dinga when i go far from my dinga city.

    I have never been to Dinga or in Pakistan but my family’s ancestral village is Sivya, which I understand is near Dinga. After partition, my father’s family moved to Delhi. I have heard stories over the years of the lovely “keth” and the wonderful fruit and “sabji” that my grandparents enjoyed. I would love to see any photographs or get any information as to what became of Sivya.

  34. Me From Pir Jand a beautiful village situated on Dinga , Lalamusa Road 7 K.M from Dinga.There is also a small Rail Way station on Lalamusa, Sargodha section.
    I did my Martric from Govt higher secondary in 1987.
    and B.Sc from zamindar college Gujrat.
    and Master from Islamabad.
    Now working in Ministry of labour and Manpower as Deputy Director.
    This is good effort from younsters of Dinga.I aapreciate this

  49. My Grandfather is from dinga and he has told me a lot of stories about Rai Bahadur Sundar Dass and his two wives.He did have a school on his name and he was killed or something like that. My grandfather was related to the Sibals and his name is Tilak Raj vachhar. Any information about the Vachhars in Dinga?

      • I have vivd recollection of Sundar Das RB. He was a railway contractor and built Queta to Zahidan railway track. Sundar Das RB was from a town Dinga district Gujrat Punjab. He was a great lover of education and built a High School after his name as Sundar Das High School Dinga. Before partition I as a kid visited that school along with my uncle who was a high school student there. I was fond of Dingaian de Saunf. This sweet was very famous and was sold at Dinga Railway Station through Hindu vendors on the arrival of train coming from Lalamusa for Malakwal junction. Dinga was a grain market too and people of surrounding villages used to trade their harvest. Hope my recollection will add something to the life of Sundar Das RB and His place Dinga. I am from nearby village called Karariwala Khurd and have visited Dinga many a times in my child hood.

  56. Last generation of my family lived in Dinga. We are Sibal and used to stay in Sibalain the gali, my parents never forgot the place and even after partition lived with memories of Dinga. My father Krishan Dev Sibal was born in 1921 in Dinga.

  63. I am Sarv Raj Sibal , Son of Late Ascharaj Lal Sibal Son of Late Sohan Lal Sibal. I was born on 2nd March, 1947 in DINGA. After partition we shifted to Ambala.I heard so much about Dinga from my parents that I am very curious about how does Dinga looks now & Siblian the Gali ?? Any latest photographs will be welcome.

    • Hi Rajni – I am Rajat Khanna my grandmother’s sister was married to RB Sunder Das Chopra- Rani Kushal Devi. Although I’m based in UK but from Delhi. My father tells me he used to play in that Haveli. Vivek Cinema etc. ( Sardari Lal’s Son ). My grandmother Shanti Devi was only sister of Rani Kushal Devi.

  65. Codry mohamed aslam dhandala shadi suda aurat key saath zinaa kerta ta 1991-1996 tek. Ashiq e mochi ki biwi ke sat kyu ke wo mochi hai aur woh chodry. Adal or barbariy ye hai ab ke ashiq mochi ke rishtedaar mohamed aslam ki nawasi or bahu ke sath zina kerey.
    chodry mohamd akram dhandala chodry Mohamed aslam ka bhai hai.
    Mohamed akram dhandala mein 1 sarak wala ghar hai jis mein eik kami ya mochi shadi shuda aurat ke sath zina kerta ta. Is liye woh mochi hai aur woh chodry ta.
    Adal aur barabriy is baat pr hai ke us aurat ke rishtedar Mohamed akram ki beti nawasi bahoo ke sath zina kery.
    Mohamed akram ki beti adeeba pooray gao mein mashoor hai apne ap ko sell krti hai phone card ke lie aur boyfriend raktiy hai. Boyfriend us ka mudasar tha jo saudia mein kam krta hai. Woh shadi shuda bachey wala hai mager apne dost nadim akram ki behn ke saat chaker chalaya.
    Ye bohat gandey log hai.
    Adel tab hota hai jan gao ka panchyt fesla kry key Mohamed aslam or Mohamed akram ke saat aise kry jaisey ke dono gao ki aurtou ke saat kia hai.
